A fair fcono prevailed upon tho sharomarket yesterday. In investment lines Taupiri Coals sold at 18s 6dj and Wilsons Portland Cements (ord.) at 40s 6d. In mining lines Talismans sold at from 52s 9d to 525, 3d, sellers closing at 52s 6d and buyers at 525. Waihis changed hands at from £9 18» to £9 19s to £9 18s, with sellers at £9 18s 6d, and buyers at £9 18b. Waihi Grand Junctions were disposed of from 40s 6d to 38s. HAMILTON HORSE FAIR. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company report:—On Wednesday .and Thursday Wet we held our annual Hamilton horse fair aiid offered 40 unbroken horses, 133 draughts, and 227 hacks and light harness horses. _ For all decent, young sorts there was a good inquiry, and for active medium draughts the demand and prices were better than usual, and we have therefore to report a fairly successful sale, 263 horses being sold during the two days. Best unbroken draught colts, two and three years old, made £20 to £25; medium sorts, £12 to £16; coaching stamps, £10 to £15; heavy draughts, of which there was a small entry, £34 to £40; good medium draughts, three to six years, £25 to £33; light spring-cart or milk-waggon stamps, £18 to £23; light harness horses and hacks of a good class, £13 to £18; cobs and useful hacks, £8 to £12; ponies and others, £2 to £7.
