A TALE OF SMUGGLERS.
CAPTORS MADE DRUNK.
ALL OF THEM MURDERED.

New York, November 8. The Honduras gunboat Tatumbla, captured a .party of smugglers who were landing a cargo of rum from a schooner.
I On the way to the gaol ; the sailors fraternised with the smugglers, and a keg of the smuggled rum was broached. ■:, ■.-•..- ■; ■'.
The , captain ;of the gunboat permitted, and took part in, the jollification which followed, and the sailors were soon helpless from the effects of the rum. The smugglers had only pretended to drink, and were sober when the sailors were helplessly : drunk. ;;
They then murdered the captain and 18 men comprising the gunboat's crew, and, after scuttling the Tatumbla, escaped.
