Taking advantage of the visit of the cruiser Challenger to the Kermadecs in quest of traces of survivors of the missing ship Clan Macpherson, the Marine Department shipped new supplies to replenish the castaway depots on the . Kermadecs, if. the supplies there have been used by any shipwrecked people.
