Chbistchurch, Wednesday. News has been received of the success of a New Zealand actress in London. Miss Alice Pollard, the daughter of Mr. Tom Pollard, and a native of Auckland, has just had the distinction of playing the leading role in "Our Miss Gibbs," at the Gaiety Theatre, " iii place of Miss Gertie Millaiv Miss Pollard played the part at 20 minutes' notice, and at the conclusion of the performance was cheered by the company. ,
