Tliii Union Company's steamer Tarawera, from Southern and East Coast ports, left Gisborne for Auckland at 10.30 a.m. yesterday, and will be due here about 9 a.m. to-day. . TOFUA FROM THE ISLANDS. An early arrival at Auckland yesterday was the Union Company's steamer Atua, "which reached port at 6.30 a.m. from Sydney, via the the Islands. She look her departure from Sydney at midnight on October 13, and culled at Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga, leaving the last-named place at 2.30 p.m. on October 30, and arriving as above. Exceptionally fine weather was experienced throughout the trip. The Atua berthed at Queen-street Wharf to discharge her cargo of Islands- produce. HYNDFORD LEAVES 'FRISCO. * The local agent for the Australian Mail Line (Mr. J. C. Spedding) has been advised that the steamer Hyndford, of the Australian Mail Line, left 'Frisco for Auckland, via Apia, on October 30. She will be due here about November 28.
