The following is Mr. D. C. Bates" summary and forecast:—The weather has continued unsettled and cloudy over the Northern districts, but warm and fair in other parts. Winds have been generally light and variable, with little movement ot the barometer. The barometer has fallen, however, about Kast Cape, and this may indicate the dUturbance passing off that part which will cause rain on the east coast of the North Island. Changeable weather is probable. . Generally moderate to string southerly winds in North, and westerly prevailing elsewhere. There are indications for anticyckmic pressure, with probable continuance of line weather at the end of this week and in the early part of the next.
