One of the little worries of the local newspaper reporters (says a Wellington exchange) is the ineradicable conviction of some public bodies and institutions that journalists can perform miracles in the way of crowding into a cubic foot of space. Some public bodies and organisations have even given evidence that they think the reporters can work best standing up. The matter was recently considered by the local branch* of the New Zealand Institute of Journalists, and as a result a deputation was appointed to spread the news that reporters were human beings, with human limitations. The deputation waited on the Attorney-General on Tuesday to urge the desirableness of providing more ample accommodation at the Supreme Court lor the press representatives. Dr. Findlay received the deputation's requests sympathetically, and promised to obtain a report on the matter.
