FRENCH CLUB.
M. Boeufvßj French Consul, presided over a largo gathering of members and friends of the French Club in St. Paul's schoolroom last evening. Among those present were Their Excellencies the Governor and Lady Plunket, accompanied by Mrs. Waterfield, Mies Hill, Captain the Hon. N. C. Gat home- Hardy and Captain Shannon, A.D.C.'s, Mr. Prickitt (American ConsulGeneral), and Mr. F. E. Baume, Iv.C. The programme in the first part consisted of the comedy, " Livre Trois, Chapitre Premier," winch was in the capable hands of Mdlle. Blanche Bouillon, Dr. Bamforcl, and Mr. Ferguson. After the usual interval for refreshments, which were provided by Mrs. Cole and Mrs. Nolan, a second comedy, "Les Deux Lourds," a very amusing production, -was performed in excellent style by Miss , Commons, Messrs. Bouillon, Balham, Wallace, and Woodward. ' The performance was brought to a conclusion by the singing of " God Save the King" and "La Marseillaise."
