HOSPITAL BOARD EXPENDITURE.
Sir,—" Board Member's" views on tho. above are certainly original. For several years past the Board's annual expenditure on buildings has averaged considerably over £3000. It did so last year, and will do so again this year if basement alterations arecarried out. A £25,000 loan bears an annual charge for interest, yet "Board Member" contends these are not items that should bo included in the Board's annual "expenditure." Are they receipts, I wonder? I confess my unknown colleague's financial genius transcends mine. Wit. JOHNS.
