A BLASTING ACCIDENT.
[by telegraph.—own- correspondent.] Gisborne, Saturday. A man named John Spencer was admitted to the Gisborne Hospital to-day, having been injured by a blasting accident at Mangatu. He was blasting logs, and a piece of wood struck him on the head, causing a severe compound fracture of the skull. The operation of trepanning was performed this afternoon.
