FREIGHT ON SHOW EXHIBITS.

Dunedin, Friday. A deputation from the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Society waited on the Hon. J. A. Millar to-day in support of tho resolution recently carried at the Agricultural Conference, to the effect that all exhibits consigned to the show should, without certificates, be carried at quarter rates, and that all such exhibits, or part thereof, if returned to the original sending station within a stated time, be also charged quarter rates. The Minister said that he considered the proposal reasonable and businesslike, and seeing that the alteration suggested would not affect the railway revenue, he would endeavour to meet the wishes of the association.
