A fire occurred at a boardinghouse in Bolton-street, Wellington, between five and six p.m. on Tuesday, Miss Martin being the occupant. A lighted candle was left on the dressing-table in a detached bedroom, and the window being open a curtain caught fire. Damage to the wallpaper to the extent of about £2 was done.
