MINISTER FOR LANDS.

Gisborne, Thursday. Mr. W. D. S. Macdonald, M.P., has received a wire from the Hon. D. Buddo (Minister for Lands), intimating that he will probably leave Wellington on the 27th to visit the various parts of the Taranaki and Auckland districts, reaching Rotorua about September 3 or 4. Mr. Macdonald will meet the Minister at Rotorua during the first week of September. The special feature of the visit will be the inquiry into the opening up of certain Crown lands in the locality.
