STABBING OF PONIES.
A FIENDISH ACT.

London, August IS. A number of pit ponies belonging to Powell-Duffryn Company were put into a field at Newbridge, Monmouth, owing to ' the stoppage of work at the collieries. Two were discovered stabbed to the heart, and five suffering . from gashes in the neck and body.
