O Bates' weather fore-, cast:—Moderate to strong southerly winds, changing bv west to northerly, are probable generally. Fair weather is probable northward of Hokitika and Oainarti and changeable weather in the southernmost districts. An area of low pressure is now advancing from the. westward, and will probably cause very unsettled weather shortly to the south of New Plymouth and Napier, lowest glue* being due between the 22nd and 23rd lust.
