BOXING.
UNHOLZ DEFEATS TRACY. A WIN ON POINTS. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] . ' : Wellington, Thursday. The light-weight professional !>oxing championship of New Zealand' was contested here lest evening between T. Tracy, of Wellington (holder), and "Boer"' Unhohs, of South Africa. The issue was not long in doubt after the men started. With a cheerful smile oil his broad face Unholy dived right into the heart of things. Tracy pulled him up smartly •tun* l after time with some splendid tricks of fencing, but'the Dutchman cared for nothing. Now and then he knocked Tracy down and gallantly helped him to his feet. The crowd, winch was enormous, cheered loudly, and then Unhola went in for it hammer and tongs. Tracy's chief trouble was that whenever he and Unholz got close together tJnholz would persist in peppering him hard on 'the back of the waistline with his right glove and then shoving the same right glove with his front somewhere about the region of the chin. It did no particular harm, but it became so frequent and persistent that it must have been somewhat of a . nightmare before the 15 rounds were over; but Tracy boxed splendidly. Unholz fought hard in reply, and the verdict was an easy one for the visitor.
