AUCKLAND Y. CANTERBURY. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN* CORRESPONDENT. ]

Christchurch, Wednesday. The Auckland representative hockey team will play what is expected to prove the toughest match of the tour to-morrow, when they meet the Canterbury representatives at Lancaster Tark. The Canterbury team is said to be the strongest which that province has ever put in the field, but. the Aucklanders are hopeful of victory, and, provided that the forwards play up to* form, should just about win. At the time of telegraphing it is raining heavily and snow has fallen, but, as there has been no rain for six weeks past, it should not affect the turf to any extent. Some of the visitors inspected Lancaster Park late this afternoon and were surprised to find that it had not been rolled nor the grass cut. The Auckland team will be the same as that which played against Wellington on Saturday. The Auckland representatives speak very highly, of the manner in which they were entertained in Wellington. From the time of their arrival until their departure they were treated right royally, Messrs. W. Organ, Christie, Walton, L. Elliott, 0. Hickson, Hollis and G. Davies being untiring in thei» efforts to make the visitors' stay as pleasant as possible. WANGANUI TOURING TEAM. [BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] ' Waxganci, Wednesday.
