Regarding the omission of the Dargaville Borough Council to hold an election on , the statutory date, the Council, on the -advice of the solicitors, has. resolved to re- . quest the returning officer to suggest a suitable date for the holding of an election, and ha* instructed him to appeal to the Governor-in-Council, under . sections 368 and 371 of the Municipal , Corporations \ Act, 1908, to extend the time, at which v.;' the election should have been held to the date suggested as suitable, and to further apply to the Governor to make full provilion to remedy the omission.
