DEATH IN A MINE.

: " f Wat hi, Sunday. An inquesu on the body of Stanley Foster, who lost his life at the Waihi Beach mine on Thursday, was opened yesterday at the mine before the district Coroner, Mr. W. M. Wallnutt. Four, witnesses were examined, including the engineer (William Turner), who stated that if lie had seen the tank (with which deceased fell down the shaft) in the position it was at the time of the accident he would have considered it unsafe. The inquest was then adjourned owing to the lateness of the hour, and will be resumed on Monday.
