(Received March 24. 11.5 p.m.) <•; Ottawa, March 24. • The Toronto Globe, in complimenting "plucky little New Zealand" in uttering the first reminder that there are more Britons than those at Home, says that Canada ought not to leave New Zealand long alone in that respect. Within two years, the paper adds, the colonies should be able and ought to place three Dreadnoughts at the Motherland's disposal. London, March 23. Lord Plunket's cablegram to the Secretary of State for the Colonies, containing New Zealand's offer of a Dreadnought and. a second if necessary, was immediately conveyed to His Majesty the King at Biarritz, to Mr. Asquith, and to the Admiralty. Prominent Canadians have been stirred by Australasia's ' lead into raising the question of offering a Dreadnought to Britain.
