IN BASUTOLAND.
AN IMPOSING REVIEW. THE NATIVES AND THE UNION By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. (Received March 3. 11.10 p.m.) Capetown, March 3. The Earl of Selborne reviewed 20,000 Basuto horsemen at the village of Maseru, about 100 miles north-east of Aliwal North. The spectacle was an imposing one. In the course of an address, Lord Selborne said it was impossible for Basutoland to ultimately remain outside the Union, but the change would secure their country and maintain their national Council.
