NEW PLANET.

AN AMERICAN'S DISCOVERY. By Telegraph.—Press Association.— (Received January 3, 6.30 p.m.) New Yore, January 2. Professor C. E. Pickering, director of the Harvard University, has obtained photographic evidence of the existence of a new major planet beyond Neptune, at present in the constellation of Gemini. The Gemini ie a constellation of the northern hemisphere, close to the ecliptic or sun's path through the heavens. Neptune has up to the present been the farthest known planet from the sun, and it is very interesting to find that there is another orb beyond. It had been surmised by astronomers that such might be the case. ""■ ■ i—SSSSSSS —'"'—i— "
