CHRISTCHURCH FLORAL FETE.

The floral fete conducted by the Canterbury Cricket Association, eventuated this afternoon on Lancaster Park, but suffered the fate of most postponed functions in a smaller attendance than would, have' been the case if it had been held on Anniversary Day. Displays of school children were prominent and ; popular items in the programme. As fat as the senior events were concerned, the greater amount of attention was devoted to the Dan Leno cricket matches. Some exceedingly fantastic creations were worn. One of the most attractive artistic displays was the "poster" com- j petition. The dresses were uniformly good. One unique exhibit was shown by Dr. Gow, consisting of a decorated go-cart j drawn by a little girl. :\ I
