Tho total births in the four principal centres for the month of November amounted to 570, against 673 in October. The deaths were 182, a decrease of 34- on the number in October. Of the total deaths males contributed 108 and females 74. Thirty-six of the deaths wore of children under five years of age, being 19.78 per cent, of the whole number. Twenty-seven of these were under one year of age. There were 56 deaths of persons of 65 years and upwards.
