The above club held their second "At Homo" and trial fours for trophies presented by the captain, Mr. 0. K. Wykes, on Saturday afternoon, at tho clubhouse. The afternoon was an ideal one for rowing, thore being little or no wind, and smooth, water. Crews from the Auckland Rowing Club, Waitemata Boating Club, and St. George's Rowing Club were present in large numbers. The position of judge was ably filled by Mr. Wykes, and the starter's flag was in the hands of Mr. Grubb. The course selected was the club's No. 3, starting from the North Head, and finishing off the clubhouse, and, with the tide and wind against the rowers," ttyf crews had a stiff pull. The first heat /was contested by W. Logan's, M. Harrison's, and G. Seagcr's crews. Logan's four assumed the lead, and had practically the race won by about three lengths, but, mistaking the finishing line, cased up, allowing Harrison's crew to gain the verdict by Ift from Logan, Scagar half a- length behind third. S. Marshall, W. Wynyard, and R. Spinley stroked crews in the next heat. The crews got well away, and kept together for threequarters of the distance, when Marshall's four came away and won from Wynyard byone and a-half lengths. The final heat brought out crews stroked by G. Davis, E. Bailey, and C. H. Grubb. At the word "go," Bailey's crew gained an advantage, and kept in the lead for half tho distance, Grubb' and Davis' crews being in close attendance. Davis then called on his crew for a spurt, which landed him a winner by one and a-quarter lengths from Bailey's crew, Grubb a length away third. The winners of tho three heats then contested the final raco for possession of the trophy, the folowing being the names and position of the contestants:— 1: ■ M. Harrison (stroke). F. Bennett, L.
