(Received December 7, 12.35 a.m.) London, December 5. The "Wallabies" (Australian amateur football team) played the AngloWelsh team to-day, the visitors scoring three goals three tries (24 points) to nil.
The home team had a strong forward team, but several of their best players were absent, owing to a county championship. The match between the Australian League team (professionals) and Halifax resulted in a win for the home team, the scores being:—Halifax, three goals two tries (12 points), Australians, one goal two tries (eight points). Halifax secured a goal in the second half from penalties due by their opponents for rough play, O'Malley being ordered off the field for deliberate obstruction.
