According to the Neues Weinar Tagblatt, 280 Servian officers on active service, and 100 retired officers have petitioned King Peter to abdicate in favour of Prince George as the only way of abolishing the constant conspiracies and restoring the armies to unity of spirit. Peter 1., the representative of the Kurageorgovifceh dynasty, who again asconded the Servian throne after that terrible coup d'etat of June, 1905, when King Alexander of Servia and Queen Draga were ruthlessly murdered at Belgrade, in 64 years of age. In 1883 he married Princess Zorlui, laughter of Prince Nicholas of Montenegro, and sister of the Queen of Italy. Prince George, his eldest son, is 21 years of age, and according to current report, is scandalously dissipated, and by bouic physicians has been pronounced a degenerate.
