FEDERAL SITUATION.

A LABOUR MINISTRY. MR. FISHER SENT FOR, By Telegraph.--- Association.— (Received November 12. 1 a.m.) Mklhocrnk, NovemU ' 11. Thk Federal Prime Minister (Mr. Dea-kin) handed in hie resignation this afternoon to the Governor-General (the Earl of Dudley), who summoned Mr. Fisher, tho Leader of the Labour party. . The latter has undertaken the task of forming a Ministry. A SUGGESTED COALITION. THE TWO-PARTY SYSTEM. Stpnkt, November 11. Both morning papers urge that the defeat of the Deakin Administration offers an opportunity. for a return to the twoparty system of government. The Herald soys on the facts there is nothing to prevent a return to this system, the Labour party being allowed to go into Opposition. It believes that the way is opened for a better understanding among the anti-Socialist parties. The Telegraph says since Mr. Deakin hesitated either to challenge tho llouso or .provide an opportunity for any other leader closing up the anti-Socialist ranks, it may be, if commissioned to form a- Government, Mr. Fisher will play a higher part than is generally expected by at once submitting a motion challenging the House on the Labour objective, and, if defeated, dissolving, and asking the people for a legitimate majority that would enable him to rule in accordance with his principles.
