LABOUR DAY.

TO-MORROW'S CELEBRATIONS. Arrangements are now practically complete for the Labour Day celebrations tomorrow, which this year take the fornn of a monster procession to the Domain, whore sport* will be held. The procession promises to provide a fine display. The-; sports entries are large, and big fields' may be expected in most ox the events. Baby shows and children's sports axe included in the attractions at the Domain. The Labour Day Committee met on Saturday afternoon, and drew for places for the various unions in the procession, the following being the order decided upon: — Eight Hours' Banner and Band, Tailors' Union, Plasterers', Bricklayers', Painters', Birkenhead Sugai Workers', Brick and Pottery Workers', Cabmen's, Gum workers', Tinsmiths', Stonemasons', Saddlers', Sawmillers and Woodworkers', Tailoresses', Bootmakers', Carpenters and Joiners', Sail and Teat and Covei Makers', Crated Water Workers', Butchers', Waterside Workers', Boilermakers', Gasworkerc', Coopers', Quarrymen's, Carters', Fellmongers', Furniture Trade's, Beamsmen's, Fishcurers', Typographical Union, Enginedrivers', Grocers' Assistants', Bookbinders', Hairdressers', Floui Millers', Seamen's, ' Coachworkers', Builders' Labourers', Ship, Yacht and Boat Builders', Tramways' Union, Railway Servants', Ironmoulders', Cooks and Stewards', Rattan and Wickerworkers', and Plumbers'. The balance of procession will comprise: —Butchers' display. Borough Council's display, best trades' display, bakers' display, gloomed horses and decorated carts'events, largest comical display, grocers' display, decorated cabs, comical display stallions and unclassified' events. Owing to the large number of entries for trade and other displays in the procession, it has been decided tc form them up in East and West Quay-street, and also in East and West Custom-street. Tram traffic will be suspended during the procession.
