PROPOSED TEAM FOR ENGLAND. hr - . [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION-] .' '■ ■ Wellington, Thursday. A mektixg of the council of the Football Association to-night discussed the proposal made by a former resident of New Zealand, now living in England, to finance a team of soccer players on an English tour. The meeting did not favour countenancing the scheme, and it was agreed that the promoter be asked to get into communication with Sir. Gibbs, vice-president, of the council, who is now living in London. . It was decided that the Brown shield be played for at Dunediu on September 9 and 12.
