SENTIMENT AND COMMERCE. By Telegraph.—Pre?* Association.—Copyright. Ottawa, June 17. Sir Thomas Shactgnessy (president of the Canadian Pacific Railway), speaking at Toronto, said that while hopeful for an improved All-red mail , service, he believed the time had not arrived for employing vessels of the Mauretania class in the Canadian trade. . At present, he continued, too much reliance was placed on sentiment and not enough on commerce.
