At an inquest in Sydney last week, touching the death of a girl named Beatrice Lamb, aged 18. evidence was given that when admitted to the hospital she had itt formed the nurse that she was unhappy, and had nothing to live for, as her Iov«r was dead. She also stated. that ishe had saved i>2s, which she wished to be used in burying her liesidc her young man at Cooma. ■;.- She stated that liorilour appeared before her regularly shortly alter midnight. Dr. Palmer . s'dd >h,a e'ea'h was due to an irritant poison si'?L as phosphorus. A .-verdict of suicide »vas lecorded. -,- '.'
