WOMAN BURNED TO DEATH.
.Linda. Adelaide QdnxEN'TOX, a young married woman, living at Percy-street, Hawthorn, Victoria, heard screams coming from the children's bedroom on May 16. She rushed in arid found that the baby had pulled the lamp down and set its clothes, on fire. -She smothered th« flames, but caught fire herself. In her distress she rushed into the yard, and shortly afterwards a neighbour found the unfortunate woman lying on the grass, with her-clothes burning. "Go to the children's room," she cried. He did so, and' helped to put tho fire out, while Mrs. Quittenton was, taken to the hospital. Sha died on June 3.
