SHOP GUTTED AT DUNEDIN.

Dux KIMS, Thursday. A strop in George-street, occupied partly by George Cann, fruiterer, and partly by Den by Terry, stationer, was completely gutted early this morning. Cann, who left the shop before midnight, after extinguishing a fire which luid been burning in an open grate, says he lost £40 in notes, which were stowed away under an old sofa. The building was owned by Mr. Solomon, solicitor, and was insured in the Victoria office for £400. Terry's stock was insured in the Guardian office, and Cann's in the Phcenix. HIGH SCHOOL DESTROYED.
