A dinner party was given by Their Excellencies Lord'and Lady Plunket, at Government House last night, the invited guests being: Sir Robert and Lady Stout, the Rev. C. A. B. and Mr*. Watson, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. G. Rath bone, Lieutenant Hewitt, Mr. H. Flower, Miss Boult and Miss Lusk. This afternoon His Excellency will attend the capping ceremony at the Choral Hall, in connection with the Auckland University College, and will deliver a short address! * ' To-morrow. Lord Plunket pays a visit to the Salvation Army 'Inebriate** Home, at T.ikatoa Island. ' > : On .Saturday, June 6. Hi« Excellency will attend the Savage Club's korero.,- ■ Lady Plunket will he present at the meeting of the Mother's Union to be held in St. "Matthew Parish Hall, on Tuesday, Jim'.- 2.
