Cliairman't Report: The Chairman reportj ed that the "Minister had ag„in been asked for a refund of £174 18s 7d, cost of furniture supplied '_ on the opening of eight schools. Four resignations had been received, and six !em{>orary arrangements had been made, while 25 applications for leave oi absence had been granted. Financial: Tho Finance Committee's report recommending payment of accounts amounting to £10,552 9s 3d on administration account, £913 2s 2d building account, end £735 13s Id manual and technical account, was adopted. A statement attached showed a debit balance of £2413 0s Id on March. 31 on new buildings, and the committee recommended that inquiry should be made with a view to reducing this excess of expenditure. . Inspectors' Report: The inspectors' annual report was submitted to the meeting, and received, after brief discussion. The clauses relating to the teaching of history and geography were referred back to the inspectors, with a view to finding out if they can suggest improved methods of teaching these subjects.
