Kingdom in a few- weeks, j Mr. Lloyd-George deprecated ex* j aggeration, and attributed the difficulties in regard to the British industry largely to the development of labour-saving machinery and the use of hop substitutes. He jocularly suggested that brewers should show patritisin by only using British hops, and await the rssult of the Select Committee of Inquiry.
