CHILD KILLED AT AHUROA.

HUN OVER BY A TRUCK. A distressing accident occurred at Ahuroa Oil Monday afternoon, resulting in the death of a, seven-year-old girl named Barbara. Becher. A number of the school children, on their way home from school, go through the station yard, and this practice was followed on the afternoon in question. Home of the children got into an empty truck standing in the yard, and deceased's brother lifted tile brake, and slowly pushed the truck idoug. I he children scon jumped out, and the victim of the accident fell obliquely on the rails, with the result that the wheel of the truck passed over her leg. A special train came up from Heiensville to convey the child to the Auckland Hospital, but she died on the way there.
