ACCIDENT TO A SCHOONER.

THE MAY HOWARD ASHORE. The schooner May Howard, on her trip from Mahurangi to Auckland, met With exceptionally bad luck. After taking in a cargo of cement at Wilsons yards at, Mahurangi. the schooner took the ground, on a very rocky foundation, over a. week ago, but came off on Tuesday evening, after being lightered by the steamers Durham and Kapauui. Leaving Mahurangi late on Tuesday night, in thick, hazy weather, the. schooner ran ashore about half-way between the Narrow Neck and Lake Takapune, at the top of high tide. The vessel floated off yesterday afternoon, and made port last night. She was making a little water, but did not sustain any serious damage.
