COUNTRY SUNDAY-SCHOOLS.
Foe some time past the need for Sundayschool work in the isolated ' districts of the province has been under the consideration of the Auckland Sunday-school Union, and it has been seeking information through casual reports, and by inquiries of those who have personal knowledge of the Sundayschool requirements of country districts. These reports show that the need for the vigorous extension of Sunday-school work is greater than the committee of the union had any idea of, and the interdenominational character of the Sunday-school Union gives it a unique position for undertaking work of this kind. The union has, therefore, after 18 months' careful consideration, decided to establish a special fund, to be called " The Auckland Sunday-school Union H'fime Missionary Fund," for the purpose of sending an agent to the district where the need is most urgent, to organise Sunday-schools. For the successful raising of this fund the union relies on the hearty financial co-opera-tion of all interest?*! in this important work.
