DRINKING BY WOMEN.
[by TELEGRAPH. ASSOCIATION.]
Dunedin, Monday. Concerning the question of drinking in hotels by women, the police report states that the bars in Dunedin and the suburbs are visited by women to a very limited extent. Those who go into the hotels to consume liquor on the premises go into the sittingroom, and not into the bar. A few women purchase small quantities of liquor for consumption in their homes.
