AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL meeting. The annual meeting of the Auckland Hockey Association was held in the rooms of the Amateur Sports Club last evening. Mr. Win, Coleman (president) presiding over a large attendance of delegates and others interested. ' The committee, in their fifth annual report, which was read by the secretary (Mr. A E. Tatiley), stated that She past year had been the most successful in the history of the association, a predominant feature hem? Thames, and (JotUfield* Unions, and victory had rested with the home term in each instance. A junior representative team visited hangarei, but suffered defeat at the hands of the northern combination. The senior and first junior competitions were won l>v the United Club and the second junior competition by the Epsom team. The dance promoted by the association was very successful and thank* were due to Mr. and Mrs. Eees George and Miss N Kces George for their valuable assistance. Regret was expressed at the death of Mr. T. Doyle, a sterling representative forward, who died as the-result of an accident sustained off the field.
