THE ASSOCIATION GAME. * -j " CORINTHIAN CLUB. The annual meeting of the Corinthian Club was held at the Sports Club last Thursday. The report, which was adopted, tendered their thanks to all donors who so assisted the progress of the club during the season. A membership of 20 senior and 20 junior players was registered during the season. In the league competition the club had a very successful season, having played 8 games, winning 7, drawing 1; goals for, 34; against, 6. They were winners for the fourth time of the Auckland challenge shield. In the cup competitions the team were in the final round, and after a drawn game were defeated in the replay by Ponsonby by 3 goals to 2, this being t-fc.e only defeat of the season. Worrall (re-elected); captain, Mr. R. Lawsoti; vicecaptain, Mr. E. Sale; auditors, Messrs. Ileighway and Mayall; Management Committee, Messrs. Kent, Holmes, A brains, Yates, Pylie, Bodel, and captain, vice-cap-tain, fcx-officio; delegates, Messrs. Harvey and Barber. The committee decided to put two teams in the field this year, one each in the senior and second divisions. Regret was expressed at Mr. E. Sale's resignation of the position of captain, members expressing their esteem for him. PAEROA WEST FOOTBALL CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN" CORRESPONDENT.] Paeroa, Saturday. The annual meeting of the Paeroa West Football Club was held last night. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £1 4-k. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr. H. Poland, M.P.; president, Mr. E. F. Moriarty; vice-presidents, Messrs. I). Penman, F. Ott, E. H. Andrews, G. Crosby, H. Bush, G. Pocock, R. W. Evans, and W. Niccol; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. Bush; Management Committee, Messrs. Bush, Silcock, Manning, Caseley, Saw, and Evans. The delegates to the union were instructed to endeavour to arrange for a trophy for junior competition.
