MEETINGS.
YOUNG PEOPLE'S SOCIETY. The initial meeting of the Auckland Young: People's Social Society was held in a club room at the Federal Hall on Wednesday evening", and a number of young men and women were present. The organiser, Mr. C. W. Buttle, gave a lucid explanation of" ins scheme, which was received with muchapproval by those present. The objects of the society'are of a purely social character, to include members of both sexes. It was decided to hold a further public meeting nfext Monday night, the formation of the. society to proceed from that meeting. Several of those present voluntarily subscribed to the funds of the society. GREY LYNN GOOD TEMPLARS. A social in connection with the Hope ot Grey Lynn and Archhill Good Templar Lodge was held on Tuesday evening last in St. George's Hall. Sister Cummings (of the Reviving Stream Lodge. Christchurch) and, Bro..and Sister Jenkin (who are leaving for ;- a trip to the Old Country) were amongst' those present. Sister Jenkin was duly initiated into the order by the chief templar ,i Bro. G. Clark, after which the programme' of the evening, consisting ' of "questions,"" was proceeded with. 1 Speeches were mado by Bro. Jenkin and Sister Cummings andC the chief templar.
