CORRESPONDENT.] j ' Whangarei, Thursday. j '-As- accident is reported from Kaitara, in which two young men had a lucky escape 'from serious injury when working in a quarry owned by . their father, Mr. M. Mo-., Kinley. Whilse the two sons and their father were engaged in. removing stone from the quarry- face a large quantity of earth cams down from the top, completely burying the two brothers. I Mr. Laing, the schoolmaster, who hap-\ petted.to be passing a/ the time, assisted Mr. McKinley to dig out the unfortunate victims, the work occupying an hour and ahalf.' Both were-rescued in an exhausted condition, suffering greatly from shock and extensive bruises, but otherwise uninjured. .-,.-.
