ENTERTAINMENTS.

"THREE LITTLE MAIDS." This evening the first representation of tlio final production of the season of the Williamson Company will bo introduced to tlw Auckland publicthe " Three- Little Maids," one of the Gaiety successes. It is said to offer abundant opportunities for the artiste to score heavily in vocal and other items, and by its smart dialogue to create plenty of amusement. The name parts will bo played by Misses Daisio Wallace, Alma Barber, and Amy Murphy. Messrs. Myles Clifton and Victor Gouriet, who have, by their clever comedy, beoomo great favourites, are said to have characters to portray which fit their peculiar but decidedly clever methods. The last three nights of this company are announced.

I HERBERT HAMMING'S COMPANY. i Mr. Herbert Flernrning. has been at inj finite, pains to secure competent support j for himself arid Miss Beatrice Day during their third New Zealand tour. The company will open at His Majesty's Theatre on Monday night next, in a new play, entitled "The Mummy and the Humming Bird." The actor-manager has engaged in London Messrs. A. S. Hoine,v;ood, Herbert? Ainsworth, J. P. Montgomery, Aubrey Malialieu, Percy Martin, Misses Elise Clarens, Alice Dai tree,- -Joan Blair, and Nellie | Mortyne, in addition to which the followi ing Australian artists have been engaged, viz.: Messrs. Winter Hall, John F. Forde, John Paulton, H. W. Varna, Herbert Harrison, and Guildford Qu'in. Miss Mortyno is an Australian actress, who has done good work in the past, and has successfully continued her career in England for some years. Several of the other artists, notably Messrs. Homewood and Ainaworth, and Misses Clarens and Blair, have, had good ! experience in England, the United States, l or South Africa, in support of Miss Ellen ! Terry, E. S. Wiliard, and other stars. Mr. | Flemming's season in Auckland will be I limited to three weeks, during which time j several highly-interesting plays- will be proj duced. The list of new plays will include j "Olivia," "The Morals of Marcus," j " Simple Simon," " The Red Lamp," and j The Beloved Vagabond." The box plan for the first.five nights of the season will bo open at Wildman and Arey's this morning.
