[BY TELEGRAPHOWN* CORRESPONDENT.] Gisborne, Wednesday. The authorisation of a temporary siding and station at Willow crossing has been granted. The engineer has been instructed to push on with the work, and expects to have this section opened before the winter. A temporary ballast line has already been laid down, and ballasting operations will be commenced as soon as the engine is available, which it is expected to bo in a day or so. The temporary siding will be made at a point just past where the line crosses the road. The extension will be about three miles; this shortening of the distance being of considerable importance to settlers at the back'.'
