The ship—which it was first reported had been abandoned at seafoundered in a gale, three of the crew going down with her. The remainder, after suffering great privations, reached Hunua, and from there were brought to this port. Ottawa, February 4. The steamer Saint Cuthbert has been burned near Cape Sable (Canada). Fifteen of the crew had been drowned prior to the disaster.
