PASSING OVER AUSTRALIA,
SOME RECORD TEMPERATURES
By Telegraph.— I'rw Association Copyright, Sydney, January 16. A hi;at wave is being experienced in New South Wales'and Victoria, the temperature ranging from 102 degrees to 117 degrees, Komc records being established in several inland districts. The whole of Sew South Wales is affected and the following temperatures were recorded yesterday: — Menindie 114 degrees, Went worth 113 degrees, Deniliqum 111 degrees, while in many places the mercury was well above the 100 degree mark. MKLiioraxE, January 16. The weather i& again "roasting" to-day, 102 degrees being registered in the city, 117 degrees at Swan Hill, and 115 degree# at Wycheproof.
