DIVIDENDS ON RACE CARDS.

Martinborough, Tuesday. The first case under the new gambling laws was brought at Martinborough today, the proprietor of the Greytown Standard being charged with printing and publishing dividends on the second day's book of the Lower Valley Jockey Club. He pleaded not guilty. After evidence had been taken defendant was fined 20s and costs £1 18s 8d on the charge of printing, the second information, that of publishing, being dismissed.
